Hello. I am new here but I have been looking around this forum for awhile.

I am planning to get a Mac Pro but I do not know if I should wait until a new model comes out or if I should just get what is available now? The current ones are fine with me and I am not the kind of person who has to have the latest and greatest but if there is something better coming out within a month or two that will be faster then I would be willing to wait. A month after I got my Powerbook the Macbook Pros came out and I don't want the same thing to happen again. Do you guys have any advise or info on what I should do? Thanks.

I would at least wait for leopard. The pro's now are upgradeable to a faster ghz processor (if you have a low one) if your comfortable doing the switch. I bought the 2 ghz one with the plan to change out the processors later when the price drops. Apple may come out with a faster front side bus and next generation chips but thats speculation. If your not in a hurry, wait for leopard.

The Mac Pros are waaay overdue for an upgrade, and Intel has new Xeons coming out November 12... it's a terrible time to buy a Mac Pro unless you're desperate (old system just died, yada yada).
