I'm about to do a semi-massive backup to DVD project and am not up to date on the current thinking for DVD +/- R. Is there really any reason any more to go with one and not the other? The write speeds are rated identically. Thanks ...

Some swear by one, and some by the other. They are really the same now, as far as I know.
