2 Years ago, when I bought my iMac G5 with the I-Sight, I upgraded the Ram to 1GB. I beileve I put another 512MB ram in the second slot.

After installing Logic Studio, I could tell I needed to install more ram.

If I installed a 2GB ram in the second slot, I would be up to 2.5GB RAm, correct?

Would this harm my computer in any way because I've read if the Ram in the 2 slots dont match, that it could cause problems. Obviously, a 512MB and 2GB RAM won't match.

Basically, can I buy the 2GB ram off a cheaper website, like this one.

Ram specs can be very complicated. Chasing the absolute cheapest price will pretty much guarantee that you will end up with something that won't work. Buy from a real company, the aggravation and shipping costs will offset the money you save. Some Mac models support interleaving which can give a good speed increase and for that to work you need matched pairs. But I thought the iSight iMac only had one ram slot.

Go to crucial.com.

That's excellent RAM, and at excellent prices. Their service is great.

I bought my RAM there - for the same iMac model you have, and then for my intel iMac.

You only have one slot; you also have 512MB soldered to the logic board.

I don't think I'd buy from that site you linked to, given how many of the specs they have laughably wrong.

Crucial is always good, if a tad expensive ($37 for 1GB or $143 for 2GB).
Newegg has 1GB for $30 or 2GB for $117 that should be compatible, but are not guaranteed to be so.
