IMAC G5 20 2.1

My superdrive reads and burns CD-R just fine.

Will read but not burn to ATIVA DVD +R 16X - My PC burns the disc just fine.

I assume this is not a lens problem but a media problem. Suggestions on what works on the IMAC Superdrive

First of all, it's iMac, not IMAC. Mac is for Macintosh, it's not n acronym. (MAC = media access control)

Secondly, have you tried Google? There are very many people who have experienced the same error. Here are some of the recommendations:
1. Bad DVDs-try a different brand
2. Laser Calibration Error, get a lens cleaner
3. Reboot
4. Switch burning speed form 8x to 4x
5. Force Quit the Finder, and relaunch it. then try to burn

Tried
Rebooting
Switch different brands of DVD's . Tried 8x HP Brand
Quitting the finder and relaunching.
Switch the burning speed.

Any suggestion on a lens cleaner.

If it was the lens - would it be burning CD's?

If you burn the disc using Disk Utility, does it work then? I've found burnfolders in the Finder to be terribly flaky in the last few revisions.
