Rashly trying to install Windows - with appropriate software - I messed my system up and it now only boots when starting if the "alt" key is pressed and then entering password...... System has four hard drives installed - A thro' D - how may I get the start up sequence to happen automatically again?

PS. Am never going to mess with Windows again!

boot into OS X and open System Preferences > Startup Disk. Choose the default one you want. This should set the sequence so that it doesn't look for a boot volume that isn't there anymore.
