I've got a big problem. Today the power went out in the house when I got in from work, when it came on, I hit the power buttom on my PM G4 933, the button would glow when I pushed it, but it won't boot up...or even try to power up, it's just nothing but a glow on the button when I push it, that's it. What has happened? Motherboard fried? Power supply shot? We did have a bad storm last night, I just put it to sleep when I went to bed, could the storm have caused something, or the power going out while it was asleep? I'm a bit frustrated and worried, got lots of important info. docs and pictures. BTW, it is plugged into a surge protector.
Thanks

Reset the PMU.

I had to do it for my mom's iMac (lamp style model) after a power outage a couple months ago.

Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics/Gigabit Ethernet): Resetting the PMU on the Logic Board
Make sure that's your model and be careful so you don't hose your system.

Thank you so very much. I resetted the PMU and it works again.
I was about to send it to a Mac repair man. You probably just saved me about a $100
