I'd like to be able to run HDTV on a display on my Mac Pro. Besides the EyeTV 250 plus are there any other solutions? Ideally I'd like to be able to display two channels at once (CNBC and the new Fox Business Channel) side by side with a virtual A-B switch for sound.

The eyetv software will let you run two tuners at once giving you the ability to do picture in picture or 2 full screens.

Get the HDHomeRun. It has two HDTV tuners and will stream the content from both to VLC or MythTV. It's what I'll be using when I put together the HTPC setup.

How does it handle sound? I only want sound on one channel at a time.

Thanks for the tip. It says it is compatible with EyeTV so it looks like an A/B switch from the two outputs on the HDHomeRun before it goes into the EyeTV would work if the box can be tuned to two different channels. Howe does tuning work with the product?

Thanks guys for the info and answers.

EyeTV only ever lets you play the sound of one movie/channel. If you have two open it's simply the top most window.
