I teach in a new computer lab with 28 new iMac's. About half or more start each morning with the brightness really low. I F15 to increase the light but how can I permanently have the brightness up?

Thanks,
Coop

Log in as root (has to be activated first), make the settings you want, log out again (don't forget to deactivate root if it was deactivated before).

Perhaps the iMac monitors are too bright for some people and they turned them down? The monitor on my white 24" iMac is too bright for me, uncomfortably brighter than my 20" 3rd generation G5 iMac. Apple's brightness control is so limited it is a joke, but I discovered a free app called Shades that does the trick.
