I have installed Leopard on a PowerMac G5 2.0Ghz Rev A with a X800XT (although not PCI-X) and although i did screw up on the first install (the machine kept restarting on it own) the second time was sucessfull and i haven't had too may issues since. Although it does seem to use more RAM than Tiger.

Still to be resolved:
Ejecting disk images doesn't alway work (you have to use Disk Utility)
Crazy graphical stuff on the dock and menu bar
Stacks is a bit useless.

To be 100% honest if i wasn't such an Apple fan i don't think i would bother installing it just yet.

Upgraded to Leopard.

If you have Rogue Amoeba software's "Audio Hijack Pro" you'll need to deinstall
the Unsanity APE module or you'll get a blue screen at boot that never goes away.

Nextly, I'm up and running and Xbench proves that Leopard is faster:

G5 2.5 dual with 3.5 gigs of ram gets an Xbench score of 312.31 with Tiger.
G5 2.5 dual with 3.5 gigs of ram gets an Xbench score of 334.77 with Leopard.

Pull down menus feel faster, system gui response is a bit snappier.

So far, very few software applications don't work. The only ones that don't are
older apps I haven't bothered to upgrade so there's no problem there.

Classic is defunct in this OS so if you use any Classic apps at all don't
upgrade because Leopard wipes it off of the drive.

Did you install the ATI Displays 4.5.7? What do you mean by stacks are useless?

Yeah i did install the ATI drivers as the X800XT fan runs at full speed without it. The drivers didn't seem to have any ill effects, so far.. In fact i just checked and it seems i installed version 4.4.4?? Strange oh well i will have to update it when i get a chance.

Stacks are Ok but as i am sure you have heard by now the icon in the dock changes depending on what is the first file in the folder. So if the first file is a disk image the icon in the dock will be a disk image etc. So for the downloads folder which is only a temporary folder the icon is constantly changing and that ll gets a bit confusing. A single icon for the folders in the dock would be a lot simpler.

It didn't really catch my attention until I listened to the latest episode of MacBreak Weekly Podcast. Not to mention, the good old file structure mode is now history.
