What kind of speakers do you guys use, and where?
For example, i have bose companion 2's, and insignia's next to eachother. 4 is better than 2!
They are both on my table on both sides of my imac, but i desperately want rear speakers...

Currently, I just use the Apple Pro Speakers that came with my iMac G4. Truly incredible sound from them, considering their size. However, they are somewhat lacking when it comes to bass, unfortunately. I was seriously considering getting an iSub to boost them in this department, but it seems that it would be rendered useless if when I upgrade to Leopard.
Hopefully, the problem will just be restricted to Intel Macs, and I can get one even when I upgrade to Leopard.

I use some JBL Creature IIs with mine. They are decent. I would like to upgrade to some Soundsticks eventually, but those are pretty low on my agenda so far...

I ordered a set of JBL Spots for my iMac. The sound is awesome, and they look so cool. I was going to get a set of Soudsticks, but the sub takes up too much space and (stepping out on a limb here) I think they are starting to look a bit dated. But the purple light inside the sub is pretty cool. Awww damn I should have got those!

Okay, I'm going to have to ask you to turn over all Apple-branded goods you may have, and surrender your Cult of Mac membership card. Henceforth, you will be excommunicated.

I use Soundsticks, ie the ones with an iSub at the bottom and two satellite speakers. Sound great, and they apparently do work in 10.5. I'd love to hack up the internal iMac speakers to act as a center speaker, but I haven't seen anyone do that.
If you want to upgrade, a subwoofer makes a much bigger difference than rear speakers, especially since the rear speakers only really work for DVDs and other movies with 5.1 sound.

JBL LSR4328
Though not on an iMac, or a MacBook (what I want to get) but on my PC.
