I have been using a Power Mac G4 in my studio for a number of years. I want to get a new computer and am very attracted to the 24" IMAC. But I am concerned about two things. Will it provide the amount power I want to work on my graphics and will the glossy reflective screen prove to be a problem? I like the simplicity of an IMAC but will miss the LCD screen. I would appreciate any thoughst that would help me decide between an IMAC and a MAC Pro.

IMAC -> iMac
MAC Pro -> Mac Pro
Mac ≠ MAC = media access control

That said, the new iMac will blow the doors off your G4. Go to an Apple Store and try it out. Regarding the glossy vs. matte screen issue, there have already been so many threads on it, just try a search and see what people wrote. And again, go check it out for yourself. Go to an Apple store. Check display angles, color accuracy, and glare for yourself.

Mac. Not MAC. Interesting that he said "Power Mac" but "IMAC" and "MAC Pro".

The iMac has a built in LCD, so you shouldn't miss it. Any new Mac would be a huge speed boost from your Power Mac G4. If you plan on keeping it awhile however (and it seems like you do) the Mac Pro offers the best expandibility for the future. I don't know what your studio is like, but I've found that glossy screens are fine for normally dark enviroments like studios.
