Hey everyone ChesterP here with my first post here. I have some questions about the new 20" iMac. I have been a PC user since 2004 when we got our first Dell computer. At the time this PC was great and still is. Lately I have had many problems with Windows XP and have switched to Gusty Gibbons Ubuntu Linux. I am pleased with the OS, its stable and has some great features. But I don't think I can live with Ubuntu as a Primary OS.
I have been looking around and one day was at the Apple Store to check out the new iPod Classic. As you all know all of the Mac models are usable in the Mac store. So I took a chance to check out the new iMac and WOW I love it. With in 20 minutes on that Mac I was so happy it ran so smoothly and cleanly i was just great. I use photoshop at school( I take a Photoshop Class in High School and plan to do that in College) we use Old iMac G5's and they are **** because people bog them down with WoW games and internet downloads. So Mac never came to mind when thinking of a new PC because I thought they were crap.
So basically i want to know if the new iMac is capable of gaming and good for Photoshop stuff. Also i want to know how you guys like your iMac's. Thanks in Advance.

Love my 24", especially now that I've upgraded to 3 GB of RAM.
I don't know about Photoshop, and I'm anxious to try a few PC games once I get Windows XP installed in Bootcamp.

Yea, fine for the Photoshop stuff. Max out the RAM (4 GB can be had for $130 shipped now.) Gaming will suck unless you talking 1+ year old games, then it will be fine if its a Universal Binary.

Keep in mind that you can run Windows and therefore Windows games... Don't know how well they play, though. But they won't be unusable.

I am thrilled with my 20" aluminum iMac. It's powerful, great looking, and just a wonderfully capable computer all round. Enjoy.
