Sorry that this question has been asked but...
i've been searching the net for a while and couldn't find the proper way to setup my ram
i currently have 4x 512mb and i just bought and additional 2x2gb for my Mac Pro
Could someone please tell me which configuration would be the best

Yea, configuration 6c on that chart: 2x2GB on one riser, 4x512MB on the other.

Would this chart also be applicable for a PPC G5?
I have 4.5 Gigs of RAM, that I'm not sure is setup correctly. 4 x 1GB, 2 x 512 MB.

Also when mixing different brands of RAM, is it better to have all of the same brand on one riser, or have them mirrored?

For the G5 the concern is just in having matched pairs in the corresponding slots. The MP is more complicated.

Brand is irrelevant, only capacity matters.
