What kind of card do i require to enable firewire recordin..
I purchased an Maudio 410 Firewire interface but my mac g5 and my macbook pro dont seem to have a firewire port ?

Both of your Macs have a Firewire port.

Like Mark said, there is no card, just ports. Mark showed FW400 and there is also a (different) FW800 port. The M-Audio device takes FW400.

G4 towers have FW400 but can add FW800 (better for hard drive connections) with a card.

i installed it fine, got it working and pro tools, now just trynna understand why vocals are recording and playing back unclear and why theres clikin and poppin from the monitors even when playing no sounds.

Clicks and pops can come from recording to your boot drive or software that is interfering with
your DAW software.

They really recommend recording to a drive other than the one you boot from.
