I was reading about RDC for OS X, thought I'd try it on my imac but as usual nothing works on my OS X ver. 10.2.8!
Apparently there was a RDC version 1.0.2 that would but it is no longer on the Mactopia web site- just the new version that is only for intel based Macs.
I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Anyone know if it is available?

The older version sucked pretty badly. My recommendation would be to update to at least 10.3. You'll be much happier and much more compatible. You don't mention which machine you have, but chances are if it runs 10.2, you'll be able to run 10.3. You can probably find it cheap online.

Is it available?
We have a imac 800mhz PowerPC G4, 512 MB RAM, OS X version 10.2.8.
So basically I have a machine that looks cool but outlived it's usefulness about a year after I bought it.
My wife uses it for email and iphoto , both of which are painfully slow (spinning ball).
RDC came up because I'm about to give up on iphoto and set her up with my XP-Pro PC so she can download photos faster.
The thought, which appears more remote the more I look at it, was to access the XP machine through the imac since it has a nicer monitor etc.
Am I wasting my time or is this feasible?

more RAM (if your machine can handle it), and a more recent version of iLife would probably solve your problems without needing a PC.
