Hey gang! I think I need help with settings for my keychain regarding my pop mail password. Every morning there's a little window that asks me to enter my mail pop password. I enter it in, select the add to keychain/remember this password box, but it keeps making me enter it in. WTF?

Under network settings of PPPoE (options), the only boxes I have checked are: connect automatically when needed, and disconnect when swithing user accounts. As I don't shut down at night, I'm always "connected" and I don't switch accounts - it's just me using the computer.

In the library/keychain folder, it lists my pop mail application password as a login (which is correct I assume). So....what am I missing?

Help is always appreciated!

Does your mail work in between entering the password? Sure the password is correct? You might be better off delting the whole keychain and starting over. You could try repairing it first.

before deleting your keychain, try repairing it. Open Keychain Access, and choose Keychain First Aid from the Keychain Access menu in the menu bar. Repair your keychain.

Yea! Finally a response! Yes, my mail works in between. I usually only have to enter my password after my iMac's been idle for a long time - say over night. As well, it's the same for my Hotmail. Currently, it remembers my e-mail addy - like it's set to, but I tried switching to "save addy and pass and each time it reverts back to remembering addy only.

Do these symptoms have anything to do with that padlock icon in stuff like system settings and in particular Keychain. It's unlocked right now...
