So last night I turned off my 20" 2.4ghz iMac and much to my surprise when i turned it back on this morning the display was a little messed up, i don't really know what to call it or how to explain it but the desktop is larger than what the screen can hold so when i move my mouse to the right, it shows what isn't being shown at the time and when i move it back left it'll show whats on the left side that isn't in the display. that's probably the best i can explain it and you probably have no idea what im talking about so i'll show these screenshots.. I've tried going to system preferences and changing the resolution but i've had no luck in fixing it.

hopefully this is an easy fix and i'm just stupid

thanks for the help.

If you hold control and scroll with your mouse it zooms in on the screen. Try holding control and "zooming out."

oh.. that would explain why jumping (mouse wheel down) doesn't work while holding control when playing windowed mode counter-strike.

thank you, it's back to normal now.
