Hello. I would like to digitize my vinyl collection and I am having some problems. I have an older imac flatscreen(256 memory 800 processor)
and i am confused as to the actual hookups. As far as I can tell there is no external hookup for a mic. I do have an internal mic. I plan to use toast 8 titanium to do this. Someone suggested an imic, but i've read there are software problems using this. So i guess what i'm asking is:

1) How do i hookup my turntable when I cannot seem to find a microphone input?

2)If I have to buy an imic will toast work with it.

thanx

I have never heard of any software problems with the iMic. I bought it to digitize some audio years back and didn't have any problems. Final Vinyl, the software the comes with the iMic, works great. If your Mac doesn't have a line-in port, that's the way to go.

the ion turntable makes it much easier for me. i really like the usb connection versus the mic input. also if you have parallels running XP i highly recommend audio cleaning lab 2005 (not the latest version) over audacity.

hope that helps
