hi
I have a Powermac G4 (agp)
and was wondering what graphics card I would need to drive two apple cinema displays? (the old original white and clear lcd displays)
any ideas?

Worth considering later… maybe your current graphics card comes with ADC+VGA instead of ADC+DVI ports, then, I think -not 100% sure about it- you would need to replace it with something relatively unexpensive like a Radeon 9000 so you would be able to get it done as previously noted… I don't know if ADC-VGA adaptors are in the market anymore…
Anyway, some info for you:

Oh well…
The Power Mac G4 (Mirrored Drive Doors) video cards support simultaneously connected ADC and DVI displays (nVidia GeForce4 MX, GeForce4 Ti, and ATI Radeon 9000). Also supported are two ADC displays with the Apple DVI to ADC Adapter (sold separately) or one ADC and one VGA display (with included DVI to VGA adapter). Refer to technical document 33001: "Display Adapter Table" for more information on identifying video adapters.
and as for older Power Macs??, I am kinda lost here… :-/

If you are right, if it really is the original Apple Ciname displays ... the original ones came with DVI. We need to know what connector you have on the end of the cord.

ah well… I guess with a unique card you would have to rely on adaptors… but I would get an inexpensive ATI 7000 PCI or even an older ATI 128 PCI so you could use two or even three displays.
