I recently had installed a new superdrive in my Mac Pro (a warranty service that took 6 weeks), but now the drive is triggered every time the computer either wakes from sleep or is restarted. What I mean by triggered is that the drive ejects if it was initially retracted, or the reverse if it was initially ejected. Is there some way to correct this in software?

Can you boot from an external drive or another Mac and see if it still happens? If it does, its probably hardware.
