I have tried three 19" LCD displays, two of them new-from-the-box, as external monitors on my 24" 2.8GHz AL iMac.

Picture, especially on the new screens, is too contrasty, and tends towards too blue. Very poor looking. I've calibrated and recalibrated to no avail, fed them with VGA and DVI from the iMac.

Suggestions?

maybe your judging in comparison to yoru imac screen in which case maybe the imac is calibrated off?

my cousin has a dell 24" hooked up to his imac and they look great next to each other. dell for serious work, imac for movies and junk.

I have a really nice 20" display I could try (DVI and Analog inputs) what adapter do I need to get to get this working?

EDIT: I see the adapter, $20 is a bit steep to play, but i'll check ebay for one

We have a lot of older stuff at work, so ill look there too, did these every come with a purchase? or were they always an additional item?
