Is this possible? I know I have to buy graphics card. The ATI RADEON 9600 PRO 4x/8x AGP 256MB Dual DVI Video Card is for G4 "Mirrored Drive Door" System or later. Any advice? what about NVIDIA GeForce 6600?. This will be for photography only reasons... Thanks

There is (or was) a retail "ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Mac and PC Edition" (one card that supported both PCs and Macs right out of the box) which did have one dual link DVI port on it. They were slightly pricey if I recall, but I believe that it is your only option. There may be some flashed nVidia cards floating around on eBay that might support a 30" display, but you'll need to do some investigation.

Four of these on Ebay now. Just paste the title cadaver gave you into eBays search engine. It looks like you can get one for $100 and change. 256 too... should be nice.

I believe the ATI 9600 runs on a Mirror Drive Door or newer... At least that's what I found so far...

Well, yours is a 4X AGP Power Mac so my guess is the 9600 Mac & PC Edition would work… there is a forum member (also from CA) selling one here… maybe you both can try it before buy-sell… worth a look:

The Quicksilver does indeed have a 4x AGP slot, so the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Mac and PC Edition will run in it.

Here's an AnandTech article on the card (tested in a G5): AnandTech: ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Mac & PC Edition: One Card for All
