Greetings everyone. I just added a new airport extreme card to my mac pro. (pre 2008 model). I added bluetooth too and they both seem to be running. My question is do I need to do anything to access wi-fi or will it do that automatically? What is this airport extreme updater from apple? Do I need to purchase it? Thanks for the help.

After adding it and booting up, you may see an Airport icon in your OS X menu bar. If you click it, you'll get a drop-down list of detected wifi points. Click one, enter the password (if asked), and surf wirelessly.
