need help with built in isight

AT Christmas just gone I got a new imac dual core anyway the other day the screen went all funny for a moment at the sametime my printer turned itself on than of then everything was normal I thought . Several days later my I went to use my buit in isight started acting up at first just a green screen then then i saw me but jagged never still allways flashing.

I wondered if it was a spike or if a hacker was trying to get onto my computer , Oh I just moved here and my internet connetion is terrible before it was fine can anyone help.

Sounds like a powerspike, yes. May have damaged something. Try running the hardware test disc, if one came with your computer (it should have).

Btw, surge protectors are cheap and reliable. I always use them.

Thanks I shall get a surge protector! and my built in isight seem to be self corrected working ok now!?
