I tried to fit it all in my very informative title here. I have an iMac G4 with a busted backlight. I went on eBay and bought a "new" inverter board, but that one lasted only a week or two.

Any thoughts on how to check to see if the backlight itself is FUBARed? If it is, then is it really worth looking for a replacement LCD, since for a few dollars more I can probably get m hands on another iMac G4....

Thanks in advance!
