Hello,

Just registered. I were just given an iMac Model 5122 SE (Summer 2001 I believe). The hard drive has been partitioned into two sections: An OS 9 drive and an OS X drive. I have since installed an airport card and adapter. It accesses the Internet fine. I have a couple of Mac compatible printers that I installed successfully (A Lexmark and a Canon). By successfully I mean that the system recognized them in the Printer Utility Window.

We have some Palm PDA software that we loaded onto the OS 9 Drive. The software is working fine, but when we try to print to one of the printers, a window pops up that says "No printer has been selected".

I pulled up an OSX application and tried to print just a few lines of text from a new Appleworks document. The same window popped up saying "No printer has been selected". I am able to run a couple of utilities on the printers, but they have yet to print from either an OS 9 or OS X application.

Does anyone have any input for me?

Thanks very much

What version of OS X? I'm guessing 10.2 or earlier as it is called Printer Setup Utility in later versions...

Also, what models of Lexmark and Canon?

How are the printers connected? Are you running OS 9 in Classic or native? Have you selected the printers in the Chooser (OS 9) or added them with Printer Setup Utility (OS X)? More info needed here.

I had some printer issues. Once I figured them out, everything worked fine. I can print from OS 9 and OS X now.
