Been sticking some additional memeory in a G5 dual 2.0 (early type). Got the correct memory from crucial DDR-400 (2x 1GB sticks) and pressed it into the slots (very firmly). Now the Mac is not starting.

On power up there's no chime, the fans kick in and the white frontal LED flashes twice which I understand indicates incompatible RAM.

Is it actually likely that there is another issue since it's doing it when i reinstall the original 2x 256Mb sticks.

I know they need to be installed in matching pairs.

thanks

A
