Got this new Mac Pro (Early 2008). Loves it. After one month of use, it's getting much louder. Sounds a bit like a low car engine idle. I have installed Temperature Monitor: memory is running at an average of 140/150F. Just running Safari and Mail. Memory is a combination of Apple and OWC. Ambient temp is 80-85F. CPU 105F. Is this normal or should I worry?

FB-DIMM memory (at least the AMB, where the temp sensor should be) runs hot. Not really a problem.
40C idle for the CPU isn't great, but it's not atypical.

If you have your mac pro is in a closed in area will keep the temp high. Make sure you give it plenty of room to breath. Mine is in my room and run smc fancontrol to keep the temp down to around 108F.
