I didn't realise until recently that Apple is responsible for creating the drivers for Mac graphics cards. From what I've read, they don't seem to spend much time on them, and the Radeon 2600 cards in the current iMacs seem to be disappointing, with at least part of the blame being directed at the drivers.
Here's my stupid question: Am I right in thinking that the Apple drivers only matter when you are runnig OSX? In other words, if I was running Windows XP under boot camp, I'd be using Windows drivers, which are generally better/more mature? Really what I'm asking is if the gaming performance in Windows would be better cos of the improved drivers?
