Hi everyone--

I'm just curious I seem to be having the same problems that extended the warranty to earlier iMacs but my iSight isn't covered. My video goes nuts when playing WoW or watching certain movies. It was fine until a few days ago; it is just over 2 years old. After doing some research, I saw I'm not the only one. So I want to know if anyone else can share their advice story or otherwise about their iSight video problems and what happened.

Apple Warranty:
Apple - Support - iMac G5 Repair Extension Program for Video and Power Issues

Some tell tall tales of Apple stores fixing their G5 iSights, others say they had no luck, other's sat in the corner and cried until things got better.

Any advice, comments or flames are welcome...

Cheers,

[J]

Just to add to my original post. Everything is fine until the GPU hits about 80c, which is quite hot, but normal for this iMac apparently.

80c is pretty normal for my G5. You could always just take it into an Apple Store if you are near one... never hurts to try. Unfortunately, the Repair Extension Program doesn't cover the G5s with iSight.
Good luck!
