According to: Apple iMac ATI Radeon 2600/2400 1.0.1 software download - Mac OS X - VersionTracker

Apple iMac ATI Radeon 2600/2400 1.0.1 is out.

I have a Radeon HD 2600 with ROM Revision: 113-B2250F-212
This update says after the update, ROM version will be: 113-B2250L-259

Tried downloading it but it won't install... bummer I was hoping for a couple fixes in the glitches I had...

Does anyone have any feedback on what this update does for the performance of the card if anything, positive or negative?

Like zerostar software update reported that my mid 2007 2.8 Ghz iMac doesn't need the 1.01 firmware update. So I've raised a request via AppleCare today to find out what he firmware update fixes and why my machine doesn't need this update, I said I didn't want a 'trust us' explanation.

My mid-2007 iMac doesn't need the update either. According to this document, the update is meant for Early 2008 (late April) iMac, and requires the Pro edition of the Radeon HD 2600 graphic card :

This update is for iMac computers with an ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro or ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics card installed, running Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later.

[...]

System Requirements
• Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later
iMac Early 2008 (late April 2008)
