On a PC's keyboard there are Home and End keys. What is the Mac equivalent?

I think the OP is asking how to move text to the beginning and end of a paragraph, like what Home/End do in Windows. On a Mac, there are two ways to do that:

The Classic Mac OS way:

⌘← : move to beginning of paragraph
⌘→ : move to end of paragraph

or, the emacs way, which I prefer, since it doesn't require moving your hands off the home row:

⌃A : move to beginning of paragraph
⌃E : move to end of paragraph

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Here's a list of OS X keyboard shortcuts; what you want is probably apple-left arrow and apple-right arrow.

Totally different; and for me, generally useless.

Home/End on a Mac do what they say. They move to the home (beginning of a document) and end (of the document).

If you wan to move to the beginning/end of a paragraph it's cmd-left/cmd-right.

And if yu want to move to the beginning/end of a line you can use ⌃A/⌃E as CharlesS pointed out. The emacs ctrl-sequences are great time savers. Among them my personal favorite: ⌃K to delete the entire line to the right of the cursor.

Cold Warriors picture of the keyboard helped. Mine only has the diagonal arrows on it not the printed word as it were. Also ndwell's definition cleared it up.
