hello

I wanted to ask how easy it is to edit High Definition Video on an iMac?

I am thinking of purchasing the JVC GZ-HD7 camcorder (or maybe a more professional HD camera - depending on financial situation)

Is editing HD just the same as editing miniDV? as in hooking up the firewire lead and capturing the footage? .....or is it more complicated?

thanx in advance

It's just like editing DV, with one possible exception: if your camera uses one of the newer, more efficient codecs like AVCHD, iMovie will need to convert it to a format that iMovie can edit, causing the filesize to bloat up by about a factor of 4.
