I was just given a 21" CRT monitor and am running it with my 17" CRT. I'd like to make the larger monitor dominant (with the menu bar on it), but I can't figure out how to do so. The display panel doesn't allow you to set which monitor is dominant, and when I tried restarting with only the 21" plugged in, then plugged in the 17", it reverted to the 17".

Is there a way to make the larger monitor dominant?

I have a G5 Quad with a 7800GT card, if that makes a difference.

You should be able to just go into your system prefs, then displays, then choose the tab that shows both monitors. There's a little white bar across the top of the dominant display in the preference. Drag that bar and literally drop it over the other display. Your monitors will flicker and voila. Should be good to go.

Thanks. I knew it should be incredibly simple.
