I seem to be having a run of bad luck with my Apple computers & I very much hope someone can help solve my problem.

I have an Intel 17" Imac - Core Duo which will not turn on. After testing the power supply cord & power outlet I thought i would seek professional advice. Does anyone know the cost of apple service inspections?

Read and follow all steps exactly as stated.

In particular, read the articles http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n303446 (How to reset the System Management Controller) and http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303084 (reinstalling SO-DIMM memory modules).

Also read additional information found here regarding the SMC, cited and summarized below:
