I bought my iMac February this year and around about 3 months ago the DVD Drive had to be replaced since it were damaging my discs. The replacement works fine but when I recently slotted in CD from a MacFormat magazine of a year ago, my iMac struggled to read it. Although it read it all eventually the drive made horrendous sounds in doing so. So does my DVD drive sound normal ?
I mean am I to expect that the drive in my iMac will always struggle to read older discs making loud noises in doing so ?
