Hi, My aunt has a Mac mini with a PERMANENT mute check box in the system preferences, I tried ALL it occured to me to uncheck it, but its gray and WONT let me do it. I have admin permissions and all. Today I will run the disk Utility to check permissions, but wanted to know if there was something else I could do to reset it.

thanks,
