Check out the RAM requirements for those apps.

Looks like the OS (Leopard) is using more than 1GB on my Mini at the moment.

Check one out at an Apple Store if you can. Ask if they have one with Photoshop on it and try it out.

Speed will be the issue, most likely.

IMHO the mini is an excellent machine for more uses than people think. With 2GB of RAM it is perfectly happy running photoshop and dreamweaver. While nowhere near as fast as a MacPro, it is still a fast machine.

Hopefully Apple will be updating it soon (rather than killing it off). The ability to access 4GB of ram would seal the deal on the mini as a viable machine even for pro graphics (print and web not 3D or rendering).

There are a few points that disqualify the mini from serious graphic work.

1. graphics processor integrated into motherboard and not powerful. CS4 now uses the graphics processor more than CS3 does.

2. It 2Gb is the maximum RAM on a mini, then this is not enough for Photoshop. For Photoshop you want 3Gb of RAM.

You CAN use it. It's better to use a mini and a good display than a 24" iMac with those glassy, glossy displays.

But don't think Photoshop will run very fast.

What's your average file size?

Turns out this was a spam handle, I guess trying to be sneaky and establish a minimal post history or something.
