My iMac' (20" about 3yrs old..) keyboard was simply 'gummy' feeling .. I didn't pour anything on it. It is simply exposed to the usual schmutz in my canvas shop...

I had heard about - 'You must be kidding?!" - putting them in the dishwasher. So I took my Bondie Blue keyboard and 'washed it'. I worked!

Then I took the white w/clear plastic back and tall keys from this machine .. and killed the sucker in the dishwasher... WT?! Word of warning....

But! I lucked out. I bought this new keyboard off Ebay for $45. It's thin as hell.. thin white keys on a silver frame. Gawd Damn Sam...this is perfection! I love this keyboard. It's beautiful too.. It's like I got a new computer...

Just thought my brothers should know.

Funny you mention Charles.. Ebay is full of listings for lap's keyboards. You can imagine how many double mochas need to be rinse out. Cheers.

I have ran that 'old' white plastic Apple keyboard through the dishwasher for three times (cold program) without any issue.

Don't do that to your new Apple slim-flat keyboard, that would kill it forever.

Dishwasher should be fine. Just don't put any detergent in and keep it as cool as possible.
