My iMac system (Mac OSX 10.4.11) includes two versions of Excel — 5.0 and 97 — in the Applications folder. I cannot open them. Translators - Adobe Bridge comes up, but does not open the program. No explanation. Suggestions?

details like what type of iMac, what version of OS X, what version of Excel, what error message you see when you try to open them, etc.
