After updating to the latest security update for 10.4, my intel imac will boot, however it gets stuck on the gray apple icon screen. I have read that this is a common problem after updates but i havent ran across many solutions. Can anyone please help me with this.

More than likely, you'll have to do an 'archive install' from your install disks. Sorry.
