Howdy everyone,
Just recently "upgrade" to a Mac Mini, have a nice Viewsonic 20' display connected to it, works fine . However, I have the Mac Mini set to turn off the display after whatever number of minutes it is set to, for the sake of argument let's say it is 15. The monitor will no longer display OS X upon that time, but instead remains on, with a "No Display" box right in the middle. Now, I'd like for the monitor to full turn off like it should but I simply cannot figure out a way to do. Any suggestions/advice?

Not much you can do if the Viewsonic doesn't shut down on its own when there is no signal. That's just the way that monitor must work. You can check the monitor's built-in controls (i.e. the buttons on the monitor) to see if you can change this.
