iMac as per sig.

iMac not plugged in = 0w
Power off plugged in ≈ 2w !!
Powering up White screen ≈ 62w down to 50w
Login Screen ≈ 50w
Sleep at this point ≈ 3w

Logged in, desktop ≈ 50w
Run Internet apps (4) ≈ 1-2w increase
Burn CD, Play DVD ≈ 4w increase
Screen saver, Bigtime ≈ 52w (No power or backlight saving there then)
When dim kicks in before display sleep ≈ 38w
Display sleep kicks in ≈34w
(Display dim dims backlight, and backlight on full uses 18w, I surmise)

Sleep ≈ 3w

full load means heavy (100%) processor usage.
