Hello, I'm getting multicolored pixel artifacts around painted edges plus (this is new) gradient banding.

iMac, 10.5.6, ATI Radeon HD 2600

Any idea what's the reason (deleted Photoshop preferences a couple of times…)

It's got to be an early 2008 model. The high-end 20" and low-end 24" both came with that GPU.
