I have the Mac mini 1.83 Ghz (Mid 2007) Ram 3G (1+2G) 80GB HDD.
Is it possible for to upgrade CPU from 1.83 to 2.26 or high. But to used CPU type?
-Processor Number?
-Socket Number?
-Bus Speed?

Thanks in advance for the replies.

The 1.83 GHz C2D you have is a Merom T5600, that's way pre-Penryn (the 2.26 you mentioned is P8400 Penryn but it won't work in your Mac mini, it won't even fit actually).

To upgrade you need a socket M Merom. The best you an do is a T7600 (2.33 GHz). These CPUs were EOL'ed in March 2008 so it won't be easy to find one (at a decent price).

If I remember right, your machine has a lousy integrated graphics card and is pretty slow with a low ram ceiling.

Don't you think it's better to leave it, and get a more up-to-date machine? As far as I know, upgrades only pay for more expensive machines like the MacPro.
