Hi all,

We have a few old Power Mac G4s lying around at work and we had the thought of turning one into a music server (maybe displaying some RSS feeds through the screensaver). The idea is to give all 4 people in the office remote access to it so they can control the playlist, etc and mount the monitor on one of the walls. I've not really done anything like this before so it is a bit of a pet project for me.

I was just wondering if anyone had an cool ideas of other things we could do with it while we do this. Or, for that matter, any ideas of what to do with some of the other machines.

Thanks for the help

I used my old G4 Sawtooth Tower as a media center...had to use iTheater and resample all my videos to mp4 at a low bit rate...the wife uses it to watch exercise videos. Works great.
