Guys, I'm new around here so I don't know if I'm in the correct place to post this. Well, I want to know if somebody could tell me what Geforce 8800GT, the Early 2008 or the 1st Generation one.
My brother have a friend who have it but he doesn't know wich one is it.
In the back label it says:

*J581004VWZLWB* 630-9191/T0024

I have a Early 2008 Mac Pro, so I want to be sure if that one works for me.
If you need some more information please let me know.

That model would fit your Mac Pro 2008, do you have the retail box?, look for PCI Express compatibility, it has to say PCI Express 2.0 instead of PCI Express.

The codes for the 2008 model were:
Product EEE Code (The last four digits on the serial number) : ZLW , ZLX
Apple Model # :661-4642 630-9192 P393

while the codes for the 2006 model were:
Product EEE Code (The last four digits on the serial number) : 29T,29U,4PJ,6DD,6DH
Apple Model # :661-4724 630-9492/T0027 602-5237-A MB560Z/A

It is a fantastic card.

Sure it is the right one.

I got the info from here (2006 Mac Pro model) and here (early 2008 Mac Pro), so yours being J581004VWZLWB is safe to say it's aimed to the early 2008 model cause as mentioned before EEE codes for the 2008 model were:

Product EEE Code (The last four digits on the serial number) : ZLW , ZLX

Then, you can see here that your NVIDIA 8800GT is indeed the one suited for the Mac Pro Early 2008 model, it is listed with the very same Manufacturer ID (Apple Model Number) you have found in the back labeling: 630-9191

yours was: 630-9191/T0024
