I'm unsure if this is possible but worth checking. I curently run an iMac with a second display and then a PC with it's own monitor. I have all three monitors (Mac+PC) linked with the same keyboard & mouse using Synergy but I'm now looking to remove the PC from the fix and run the needed software in VirtualBox and add another iMac into the mix. So I will be running two 20" iMac Intel's on my desk.

What I was wondering, is there away to have the two iMac's linked together? So say i drag a finder window from one Mac to the other, the second Mac will just work as a second monitor. I remember reading about this but can not find the article on how to set this up.

i don't get it... why not just use another monitor? why do you need a whole other computer?

Left that out. I'm still running a second monitor with one iMac but I was looking to some how link the two iMac's together. For the moment I'm using Synergy so I have the one keyboard/mouse to use with the two computers but I was trying to figure out if there was a way if I say wanted to expand the other iMac to use the screen from the other but so far after looking around this can not be done. ScreenRecycler pretty much does the job but I don't think it can be switched on/off to use the computer as a display then back to it's own OS.

Think I'm set now. I now set the two iMac's up with "Teleport" Un like Synergy Teleport allows for the transfer of files from one computer to another. So if I have a file, folder, app etc. I can just drag from one computer to the other. This works for me.
