I cannot get my 2.66 GHz 20" iMac to recognize any joystick. I have tried several including a CH Products model, a clone of a Logitech and a couple of others. All are USB devices and it doesn't matter if they are plugged into a port ot a port extender. It just seems like they are not there.

I've tried USB helper programs and noting seems to work at all.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you try USB Overdrive?

Yes, that was one of the first things I tried. It made no difference at all.

What makes this really frustrating is my favorite flight simulator, Sturmovik IL2 1946 runs beautifully on the iMac. Better and faster than on my PC with 2 3 GHz processors and an nVidia Graphics card. But without a joystick it's almost impossible to use.

Well, if USB Overdrive doesn't see it, then I'd try a different brand.

Do you have another Mac you can try your joysticks on?

Yes, I have a PC that my wife uses and they all worked on there.

The CH products and the Logitech clone were working on th PC I had before the iMac.
