hi there

I've just recently acquired a Powermac G5 dual 1.8gz with a fresh install of OSX 10.4.6

I have a problem that the os keeps tiling my windows across the screen when I don't want it to.

Ie If I have a finder window open and a safari window open it keeps tiling the two windows across the screen when I havn't asked it to.

where in the prteference can I chnage this?

That's not a default function of the OS. There must be a third party add-on installed, but I don't know where to tell you to find it other than to open System Preferences and look in the Other category at the bottom of the window for a third party utility that would do that.

Do you have an apple mighty mouse?

It might be that you are squeezing the sides of the mouse to activate Exposé. If so, the solution is to turn off the squeeze function in the mouse system pref.
